In mid-summer 2025, and from our very first conversation, something felt different. What started as a simple introduction quickly became an undeniable and immediate connection. There was an ease between us we couldn’t explain and laughter that felt natural from the very beginning. The more we shared, the more we realized how much we had in common. We’re both originally from New Jersey, and while that gave us common ground, it was our faith that truly connected us. We are both devoted Christians, committed to continually growing in our relationship with the Lord. Our shared faith anchors us, guides us, and serves as the foundation for everything we are building together. We truly complement one another…a bit like our own dynamic duo. Doug, shaped by his honorable military background, is the structured planner who carefully weighs risk against reward. Erin is the fun, adventurous risk-taker who breathes life, spontaneity, and laughter into every day. Together, we balance each other in the best way; grounded yet bold, thoughtful yet lighthearted. Doing life side by side is one of our greatest joys. Family means everything, and each of us raised two incredible young men, an experience that has deeply shaped who we are. A shared adoration for animals, the thrill of thrifting and discovering hidden treasures, and a love of travel and exploration continue to bring us closer. Whether setting off on a new adventure or simply spending quiet time at home, our happiest moments are the ones spent together. Time with family and friends is something we deeply cherish. Coming from small families, we have always considered our friends to be part of our extended family, surrounding ourselves with the people who have loved, supported, and walked alongside us through every season. It means so much to us to celebrate this special moment with those who hold such an important place in our lives. What began as a friendly text message has grown into a deep love rooted in faith, strengthened by shared values, and filled with laughter, gratitude, and unending companionship.
