We're getting married!

We met during COVID, end of story! LOL Stay-At-Home orders brought us closer and we got to know each other on a deeper level. In all seriousness, here's the full story... Elise just moved back home from leaving Orange County to wait out COVID and downloaded Hinge shortly after returning home, because "you never know." Doug was on Hinge for a few months and on the night he was going to delete the app, he took one more look at the fish in the sea. Elise had liked one of his photos which means Doug will be notified that a picture was liked, we began talking on the night of May 15th, 2020. Doug blew Elise away with conversation and his humor, Elise couldn't wait to meet him. Due to COVID closures we had to get creative on how and where we were going to meet for the first time. Doug planned a dinner and asked how I like my tri-tip and he bet me a second date that he could cook a single tri-tip, medium for me and medium rare for him, accompanied by his famous blended strawberry margaritas. Once Doug opened the door, and saw Elise's eyes, he knew that he picked the right one. Since the meal took about 3 hours to cook, we had open/vulnerable conversation, lots of laughs and played a round of poker, Elise won but he will tell you otherwise. Doug nailed the tri-tip and won a second date! We connected easily, immediately, and we enjoyed small talk as well as deeper talks. A few weeks in, hanging out only a couple nights a week, they realized how comfortable they were around each other. Over the next few months, Elise accompanied him on a few of his 12 hour wine delivery shifts, all over the Central Coast and well, the rest is history!
