Our happily ever after

On this day I will marry the love I thought I would never see again. Shane and I met through mutal friends over 30 years ago. One night we were all hanging out at his house and were all playing truth or dare.. I was dared to kiss Shane. Unfortunately I started laughing. But not long after that, him and his family moved in next door to us in Long Leaf Park. We ended up hanging out all the time and became boyfriend and girlfriend. He became my best friend. We then started high school and although we eventually broke up we stayed very close friends. I ended up moving away suddenly and we did not get to say goodbye to each other. We lost contact with each other. We both ended up getting married to other people and had kids. But both of us always wondered about each other. Then one day in June I got a friends request from him. I couldnt believe it. We ended up talking and it was just like we never were apart. I decided that while I was on vacation I had to see him. As soon as we saw each other the feelings were still there. We both knew we wanted to be together. Shane told me that he could not ask me to move here away from my boys and family. I told him, he wasnt asking me, I was telling him “ I would move here to be with him, he didnt have to ask!” A few weeks later he was flying to Ohio to help me move home to NC! He met my boys and told my boys and family that he would take care of me and never let me go again. Everyday with him, he makes me smile. He makes me feel so loved. I am so happy to have my best friend and my one true love.
