We heard about The Passion Play from various locals in Eureka Springs for a few years and recently had the chance to see it for ourselves. It is incredible to see this wonderful story of love come to life. Oh, and it’s all put on during the summer by volunteers, mainly youth groups! We hope you can see it for yourselves as well. *bring tissues. It’s that good.
Beaver Lake is one of the many reasons why we love Eureka Springs. This relaxing boat tour allows you to get up close and see the view on the lake. Fun Fact: Michael proposed to Megan on a patio overlooking Beaver lake, which is the same lake the wedding venue overlooks
Check out this magnificent hotel from the 1800s known as “the finest resort west of the Mississippi” It has a lot of history! Currently, it’s a hotel with a bar on the third floor with amazing pizza! But it hasn’t always been. Some even say it’s haunted. For anyone who’s interested, they do ghost tours every weekend at 7p and 11p. We did it, and we survived :)
Check out downtown Eureka Springs for a unique shopping experience like you’ve never seen! From well preserved reasonably priced antiques to one of a kind pieces by local artists and everything in between one thing is for sure, you will have a great time browsing all this eclectic town has to offer! Eureka is also called the “stair step town” for all its shops and restaurants nestled on the mountains. Some of the shops are restored and converted from Victorian era houses, a fun experience to see even if you don’t buy anything! We do recommend comfy walking shoes if you plan to visit, as it’s easy to spend a whole day walking around here.
