Your kids are so special to us, and we would love to have them all attend our wedding if we could! However, due to venue size restrictions, we are only inviting kids of close family members. Please refer to your online RSVP to see who out of your family is invited.
While we would love to include everyone, our venue has a strict capacity so only guests named on your online RSVP are invited to attend this event.
Your comfort is our priority! We know an outdoor wedding in Virginia's August has a high chance of being hot and humid. We invite women to wear sundresses or jumpsuits they don't mind being outside in and can comfortably dance the night away. Men are encouraged to wear their finest summer linens. If you're reading this and thinking "what's a summer linen?" and khakis and a button down are all you have in your closet, don't feel the need to hit the shops. We celebrate if you want to bring the heat and look your best for our pictures, but want you to know that suit jackets are not required for this event.
Yes! There is parking for up to 40 cars at the Market at Grelen. Guests who are staying at the hotel blocks are asked to leave their cars at their hotels and utilize the shuttle service to leave room for guests who are not staying in Charlottesville. If you drive to the venue and enjoy the party so much that you shouldn't drive yourself home, we invite you to leave your car in the lot overnight and take the shuttle back.
Due to the remoteness of the venue, there is limited cell service and no wifi available. Please do not rely on taking a rideshare or car service to and from our venue as you will not be able to get in touch with the drivers. We encourage you to utilize the shuttle service and enjoy your night off the grid!
If you would like to be extra close to the venue in a small charming VA town, Orange is for you! There are some cute Bed and Breakfasts and hotels that are only a 10-15min drive from the Market at Grelen. On the other hand, Charlottesville is about a 30min drive to the venue, but it has way more to offer! Head on over to the "Things to Do" section of our website to look through the activities in the area. As far as logistics go, we will only have hotel blocks in Charlottesville and our shuttle to and from Charlottesville. You will need to find your own transportation and lodging if you stay in Orange. As mentioned in the previous question, please don't rely on a rideshare app (i.e. Uber & Lyft) as cell service in the area is very limited. If you plan to have a good time and drink alcohol, we recommend you stay in Charlottesville at our hotel blocks to take advantage of the shuttle!
