It goes without saying that we're beyond excited to celebrate our wedding with all of you, our closest family and friends, at Doug's parent's home. We're extremely grateful that Lisa and Larry are hosting the backyard wedding of our dreams, with much help from our wedding planner who is also Doug's older sister, Julie. We know combining all of our loved ones from the East to West Coast all the way to Medford is not the easiest but we truly hope to see you there. For more details please click the separate tabs!
Kristy liked Doug's OKCupid profile because she thought Doug looked like a Latin Jon Snow along with the added appeal that he was a pre-school teacher (her ovaries were happy crying). Then it seemed like a fluke when Doug received a notification that Kristy liked his profile because that was a paid-for feature and Doug was no fool to pay for that. Although her profile was slim with information he liked what he saw and sent the first message. After a couple days of casual chatting, checking that the other had enough Instagram friends and decent content to make them a real person, and seeing that the other knew the difference between 'your' and 'you're' when texting, they arranged their first date for Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at 4PM in Washington Square Park. They played board games at the Uncommons, chatted in the park, walked around Greenwich, grabbed a classic slice of artichoke pizza that neither could finish because they were so nervous (or actually just really gassy cause you can't fart in front of someone you just met and really liked), briefly joined a scary Halloween tour, walked around some more, had late night drinks at Angel's Share speakeasy, and ate some yakitori. It was 11 and a half hours later when they finally said goodnight and hopped into separate cabs. Undeniably an unforgettable first date. Afterword: Doug is not Latino and Doug announced that he wouldn't hold his farts back any longer on the third date.
