Things To Do

Ther are a ton of things to do on Cape Cod. Many of the places here are close to Falmouth, but don't let that limit you!
Surf Drive Beach

Surf Drive Beach

Falmouth, MA 02540

There are tons of beaches on the cape (of course)! Check out the Visitor section of the website for more options. Surf Drive Beach is a great shell hunting area.

Martha's Vineyard

Martha's Vineyard

MA

The ferry to Martha's Vineyard is about a 45-minute ride. It is operated by the Steamship Authority all day, every day. Check their website for schedule times. Departure is from Woods Hole (4.5 miles from Falmouth). Lots to see on the Vineyard. Lighthouses, an antique carousel, more beaches and some fun architecture.

Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises

Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises

269 Millway, Barnstable, MA 02630
, (508) 362-6088

Whale watching cruises are usually three and a half to four hours long. No guarantee you'll see whales, but you'll enjoy a scenic ride through Barnstable Harbor, including several lighthouses along the way.

Nobska Lighthouse

Nobska Lighthouse

233 Nobska Road, Falmouth, MA 02543
, (774) 763-6453

Nobska was constructed in 1829 and is still an active lighthouse to this day. It's one of the many lighthouses on Cape Cod.

Captain Parker's Pub

Captain Parker's Pub

668 Massachusetts 28, Yarmouth, MA 02673
, (508) 771-4266

Doug's favorite clam chowder spot on the cape! Take note, the local pronunciation is "chowdah."

Woods Hole Science Aquarium

Woods Hole Science Aquarium

166 Water Street, Falmouth, MA 02543
, (508) 495-2001

The country's oldest marine aquarium. A great activity with kids or if the weather isn't cooperating.

For all the days along the way
