We met at Woodinville High School in the fall of 2010. I don't think either of us would have expected that meeting at such a young age, we would one day spend the rest of our lives together!

Heading down to the Oregon Coast is not an unusual occurrence for the two of us. My Grandparents own a beach house in Gearhart, Oregon on Del Ray Beach. Doug insisted we go down to the beach this particular reason to celebrate our 7 year anniversary that had taken place the weekend prior. Despite my efforts to have a relaxing weekend at home, Doug had us in the car on the way down there by 6:30 am on Saturday morning. Little did I know that this weekend was about to change our lives forever. We arrived at my grandparents house, had a quick lunch & then Doug wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner in Cannon Beach. We walked on the beach headed toward the famous Haystack Rock, before our reservation. This was the first place we said "I Love You" way back when, & before I knew it Doug popped the question & I said YES! to a life with my best friend. Then I realized the surprises weren't quite over yet. Coming down the beach was our whole family, grandparents, parents & siblings. They had all come down to celebrate our engagement for the weekend.
