Emily has been Emma's best friend since the days of coerced Middle School musicals. Our generation's Martha Stewart, minus any improper financial trading allegations, Emily is a gourmet chef and fabulous hostess. Emily has been a consistent sounding board for Emma providing sound logic and guidance, and for the record, all decisions made together have been fantastic. Please don't ask her about Emma's performance in "Into The Woods." There may still be video evidence out there.

Dan has been Doug's best friend for 32 years and counting. They've been through everything together including playing sports, high school, flat tire incidents, simultaneously attending the University of Maryland, and riding out Hurricane Irene.

Carolyn Powers

Carolyn and Emma became friends in High School during their summers at the lake in Eagles Mere. Always the voice of reason and supporter of all things fun, Carolyn recently moved to the west coast!

Chris Ushinski

Chris and Doug have known each other since preschool and became close friends in high school. Through the years Chris has been Doug's closest confidant and sometimes catalyst for "adventures" and other excursions. Many stories will stay untold and it is better off that way.

Alicia "Delicious" Luchak is basically Emma's sister. Lishy is a delightful soul adored by all who meet her. Emma and Lish met lifeguarding during summers in Eagles Mere and formed an immediate friendship around watching scary movies, planning ridiculous outings, and general silliness. Lish was instrumental in Emma and Doug's early relationship as she spent most of our first covid summer chaperoning outings.

Dan Grabinski

Dan and Doug also attended the same preschool. Their friendship grew exponentially during their high school soccer years where they once portrayed a hometown version of the Blues Brothers during practice as Freshman. They both moved to Orlando within a few months and spent their time as 20-somethings filling days with shenanigans and exploring the city where tourism never sleeps.

Kayla Bohan

Kayla and Emma lived together in Baltimore for 4 years while completing their Master's Degrees at Johns Hopkins. While we're still not sure how she made it through, she still agreed to be in our wedding! Other than being an absolute saint, Kayla spends her time teaching First Grade in San Diego, running, and exploring with her amazing boyfriend Sean.

Mike has ALSO known Doug since preschool. They attended Parochial school together and for some reason were trusted by both sets of parents to attend Mass unsupervised as 12-year-olds. They would go on to share a summer job in high school, along with Chris, where they received the education of a lifetime on how to pull weeds and paint curbs.

Christina is Emma's Kappa Delta Little. She enjoys coffee, long walks with her dog Cooper, and gluten. Ask her about her PHD dissertation!

Donny is Doug's older brother and partner in antagonizing their sister. They'd spend countless hours, days, and nights playing basketball and soccer against each other growing up. Don has always looked out for his little brother. To this day, they root for rival football teams.

Lindsay Woodcock

Lindsay is Emma's sister-in-law. She has been the best influence since they met during Emma's sophomore year of high school. Lindsay has been there through it all, including much-needed weekend visits to Emma at boarding school, summers in Eagles Mere, and all the big sister advice. Lindsay and Emma share a love for cinnamon dolce oat milk lattes, knotted headbands, and weekends at the lake.

Kate Ayres

Kate was Emma's mentor and host teacher during her first year teaching in Baltimore. She immediately took Emma under her wing and inspired her to be the best teacher and person she could be. Kate's visits to Florida allowed her to form a great bond with Doug as well. Kate is thoughtful, insightful, and considerate. Her advice and humor have helped Doug and Emma to begin an amazing life together. Ms. Ayres's strong teacher presence will be felt by all in the audience who fidget during the ceremony.
