Travel Note
Ferries to Arran
To reach the Isle of Arran, you can take a ferry from Ardrossan Ferry Terminal, or from Troon Ferry Terminal. Both ferries arrive in Brodick, with a travel time of approximately 80 minutes. Please note that all passengers are strongly advised to book ahead on bookable routes to ensure space onboard!
Flight
Arriving by Air
The nearest airports are Glasgow International (GLA) Airport and Glasgow Prestwick (PIK) Airport. Regular train services are available from both Glasgow airports. A shuttle bus from GLA can take you directly to Paisley Gilmour Street train station, where trains will connect with the ferry terminals at Ardrossan and Troon. PIK has its own rail station with services via Kilwinning, where you can change for Ardrossan Harbour. The same rail link takes you through Troon en route to Kilwinning. From Edinburgh Airport, transit to Glasgow Central Station is possible via the Citylink AIR Glasgow Service 900 or the Citylink 902 Coach. The Citylink AIR Glasgow Service 900 departs every 30 minutes, 24/7, with average journey time = 1 hour.
Train
Arriving by Train
The train from Glasgow Central Station to Ardrossan Harbour takes about 45 minutes. It's also around 42 minutes from Glasgow to Troon. Check out the ScotRail timetable for help planning your trip.
Rental Car
Arriving by Car
Ardrossan Harbour is just over 30 miles from Glasgow, which is about a 50-minute drive. Troon Ferry Terminal is 35 miles, and around a 55-minute drive. If you are travelling with an electric vehicle you can find charging points via ChargePlace Scotland. Parking is available at the wedding venue and guests are able to leave their cars overnight. Our venue does advise, however, that any valuables or personal belongings are removed from vehicles - vehicles are left at the owner’s risk.
