We're getting married!

Doug and Aly met in 2018 in Milwaukee, WI working for the Milwaukee Bucks. Doug had recently been "traded" from the New York Knicks, following his long-time boss to work for the Milwaukee Bucks in their Premium Ticket Sales Retention team. Aly had been with the organization in Corporate Partnerships since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014. Neither Doug or Aly ever envisioned an office romance, but fate had other plans. The two were paired up to deliver an additional level of service to their valued partners by adding a Premium Retention rep to any account with courtside seats or suites. From the very first meeting with partners, Aly was immediately impressed with Doug's level of knowledge, care, and professionality. Between meetings, the car rides were effortless, including witty conversation, trading information on their favorite bands and music, and laughing over clever jokes - mostly from Doug. It's safe to say, Aly left the day with an inkling that this was just the beginning of something special. In the coming weeks, Doug secured a first date with Aly, surprising her with a pizza tour of Milwaukee! The night was filled with too many slices to count, laughter, countless stories, and what soon became one of their favorite ways to end a night out, darts at Scaffidi's Hideout. For the next year-plus, Doug and Aly's relationship grew stronger and stronger, officially meeting friends and family! It was not until the summer of 2019 when their relationship was put to the test. Doug had received an offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers to lead one of their ticketing teams, a terrific opportunity to continue to grow in a career he was deeply passionate about. The two discussed the opportunity and were determined to try out a long-distance relationship. Over the next two years, the couple endured the challenges of managing two NBA schedules, budgeting for travel to see each other, upping their communication game, and of course, navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the distance only made their relationship stronger. In 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals and Aly became an NBA Champion! While the team was battling on the court, Aly had the opportunity of a lifetime to interview at the Cleveland Cavaliers and finally reunite with Doug. Following the championship, Aly was offered a role in Partnerships with the Cavs and accepted the next phase of her career and relationship journey! Another A+ NBA trade complete! It's only natural that their first date in Cleveland was checking out a highly rated pizza joint, IL Rione Pizzeria, what soon will be the location of their intimate wedding ceremony in May of 2025. After one year of living together in Cleveland, Doug proposed to Aly in her hometown of Milwaukee, WI in front of their favorite restaurant. With friends and family alike, the two celebrated the exciting next steps in their relationship and a bright future on and off the court! We are grateful for the game that brought us together and we thank you for being an important part of our love story!
