Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Christy Mallinder and Doug Hendry

Tiffany Mallinder

Maid of Honor

Friends since Tiffany was born, partially because she's the bride's younger sister. Twenty years ago they enjoyed giggling in their shared childhood bedroom with their dinosaurs and Bratz dolls. Today, they love a good "Sister's Tea" at their favorite tearoom in Riverton. She knows the best places to eat, drink, party, and play slots in Atlantic City. Can't find her at the wedding reception? Check the open bar, she's probably making friends with the bartenders.

Mandy Kopec

Bridesmaid

The eldest sister of the original Mallinder clan, Mandy. She introduced Christy into the cult-like obsession that is country line dancing. From "Cadillacs and Caviar" to "The Charleston Bump," Mandy influenced a hobby that eventually turned them into regulars at the local country bar. And if you've ever done it more than a handful of times, you'd understand. You can catch her playing bass to "Rock and Roll All Nite" by Kiss with a fireplace poker.

Tara Lee

Bridesmaid

Tara shares the middle child spot with the bride. As kids, they spent their weekends playing 'Crash Team Racing" and "Spyro: Year of the Dragon" on the PS2. In their teenage years, they dominated in a Friday night volleyball league and were given the name "The Bullet" and "Mini Bullet" for their speedy serves. And have you seen Tara's baby? She made a cute little nugget named Aiden. If you're looking for Tara, she'll be holding the tiny human.

Alexandra Shewaski

Bridesmaid

Or Alex, depending on what time in her life you were lucky enough to meet this gem. Outrageously hilarious and completely unfiltered, Alexandra is the unofficial 5th daughter of Mark and Monica Mallinder. She and Christy first met after Alexandra moved in across the street. Her mom walked her over to a neighborhood game of four square, bringing along a Strawberry Shortcake cartoon ball. They spent nearly 20 years as neighbors and best friends, playing Nancy Drew computer games, going on beach trips, and sharing in the dark humor of nursing. You can find her manifesting pretty much everything.

Alyssa Gilboy

Bridesmaid

This lady here started out as a volleyball teammate in middle school. But in high school, still as teammates, they grew to become best friends over their love of Carrie Underwood, Clue, and butchered Easy-Bake Oven brownies. During Christy's senior year of nursing school and Alyssa's first year at law school (with the inspiration of Mandy...yeah remember her?) they spent no less than 2 nights a week country line dancing. Seriously guys it's an addiction. Now with weddings within 5 months of each other, it's bound to be a wild year! Once the dancing starts, you might hear her say "there's a line dance to this song".

Alexis Sutton

Bridesmaid

Otherwise known as Sutton (cuz you know, sports things). She and Christy first met at volleyball tryouts their freshman year of high school. That was also the year they spent left bench perfecting "I'll Make a Man Out of You." And Alexis's serve was so powerful she concussed another freshman. This colorful human is a Disney-loving, future rollercoaster-engineering, D&D sorcerer...or wizard...or something? Anyway, she loves games and building stuff. She's Disney's next Imagineer, but until then--she'll probably be placing bets with the bartenders and walk out with more cash than she started with!

Emily Paynter

Bridesmaid

It all started with "Hi I'm Emily, do you wanna be my friend?" that first day of kindergarten over 20 years ago. From there, Emily and Christy spent their grade school years playing with Sailor Moon dolls and fan-girling over the Twilight Saga. Team Edward versus Team Jacob ruined many friendships, but thankfully not ours! In college they often would go a year without seeing each other, yet still pick up where they left off over hibachi. As Christy's first and longest friendship, the wedding would not be complete without Emily. If you can't find her, look down--she's 4'10". And don't forget to congratulate her, she'll be newly married in June!

Marc Sano

Best Man

Doug's friend from their teenage years. Former Philadelphia Soul season-ticket holder. Only person this side of the Mississippi to kill a deer and to win a chess tournament in the same day. Voted most likely to yell "Roll Tide!" in high school. Always there when you need him. Specializes in HVAC.

Marc Milano

JJ Fritsch

Doug's childhood friend since kindergarten, ever since he asked Doug to share a pair of scissors with him. Shares the same birthday month with Doug, every year. The number one person to ask if you ever need to go to a Philly sports game with someone. Specializes in being a tour guide of Austin, Texas.

Alex Fox

Groomsman

Doug's fellow Bucknell friend. The only friend who could persuade Doug to actually go on a run with him. Often considered an urban legend when it comes to 'Cafsgiving". Lead singer of Icarus Falls and heart and soul of the Rock Band collective. Supporter of Chancellor Palpatine. Specializes in finishing my dinner leftovers.

Ian Moyer

Groomsman

Doug's other Bucknell friend. Fellow aficionado of Arsenal - finally at the top of the table. Can always go for a good bourbon or a Christmas beer. Favorite song is "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. Recently earned the title of "Girl Dad" - twins no less! Specializes in late-night visits to the Flyson.

Joey Abrams
