This is not a drill. It's really happening!

Seven years ago we met... on the internet.... Match.com to be precise but Adam likes to leave that part out. Basically, Adam (living in Georgia) peeked at Nicki’s profile. Nicki (living in Florida), seeing that a handsome man in a uniform with a military working dog peeped her page, looked at his. She found the line “when I go home I like to take the train into the city” and thought “huh... that sounds like something someone from CT would say...” So she messaged Adam saying “hey, where’s home and is it NYC you train into?” After a brief wait period she got the message back that confirmed her suspicion that she and Adam had grown up about 20 minutes from each other, likely attending some of the same high school sporting events. One thing led to another and within a few months of dating, we were hooked on each other. Then Adam moved to CT, Nicki moved to Missouri, Adam moved to Missouri, they both moved to Texas.... then Nicki moved to Long Island and Adam moved to upstate New York. Then they both moved to CT again for like a minute before Adam moved to NYC for his latest adventure. And now... finally... seven years, hundreds of thousands of miles, tons of coffee, hundreds of bottles of wine, and a whirlwind adventure later, we’re locking this in for good.
