Where should I stay?

Answer

Our primary room block is at Mountain Top Resort. Rooms and Guest Houses are filling quickly, but some availability may remain. To receive our wedding discount, please call the resort at 802-483-2311 and mention our wedding. We also have a secondary room block at the Best Western in Rutland, VT, approximately 15 minutes from the venue. Standard rooms and suites are available at a 15% discount for our wedding weekend. Please call 802-773-3200 and reference our wedding. In addition, there are several nearby hotels, inns, and Airbnbs that guests are welcome to explore.

When should I book accommodations?

Answer

All accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking as early as possible.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. We invite guests to wear elegant dresses or gowns, and suits or tuxedos. Color, texture, and personal style are warmly encouraged, while keeping the overall look elevated. The ceremony will take place on grass, so please plan footwear accordingly. As the evening may be cool, we recommend dressing with the season in mind.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor reception and after-party. We recommend dressing with the season in mind and planning accordingly.

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Guests can park conveniently at the front entrance of the resort, next to the Main Lodge. There’s also a lot directly adjacent to the Wedding Knoll.

How do I get around Mountain Top?

Answer

Mountain Top offers shuttle service to make getting around easy and comfortable for all guests. Staying on-site? You can reserve a shuttle pickup from your guest house or cabin, or from the Main Lodge if that’s where you’re staying. Not staying on-site? Park at the main entrance lot and catch a shuttle from the Main Lodge, or enjoy a short walk to your destination. Welcome Party (Friday, 8:00 PM): We encourage guests to use the Mountain Top shuttles for this event, as it’s a long walk from the Main Lodge down to the lake. Shuttles will bring guests to the Welcome Party at the Lakeside Beach Pavilion and will be available for return trips throughout the evening. For any questions, to arrange a shuttle, or to request ADA accommodations, please visit or call the front desk at 802.483.2311. The staff is happy to help ensure transportation is smooth for everyone.

Will transportation be provided from the Best Western?

Answer

Yes. For guests staying at the Best Western, transportation will be available to and from the venue on our wedding day. Buses will depart from the Best Western promptly at 3:45 PM for the ceremony. At the end of the evening, one bus will run hourly from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM from the venue back to the Best Western. Please note that transportation will not be provided from the Best Western for our Welcome Party on Friday night, so guests should plan accordingly if they intend to attend that event.
