Bride
Lindsey is a loving chinchilla mom of two and a new speech therapist (Go Monarchs). She enjoys buying cheap sunglasses and inadvertently breaking them, reading books about psychology, and taking her dogs for car rides.
Groom
Ian is a full time Paramedic originally from Santa Cruz, California. In his off time he enjoys spending time outdoors, watching horror movies, cooking, playing board games, and making people laugh.
Matron of Honor
Crissy and Lindsey have been friends since diapers. They have seen each other in all the awkward phases of life (2005 anyone?). Growing up, Lindsey and Crissy entertained a variety of titles, including Native American sisters, choreographers, song writers, homemakers, and emo kids. Crissy has been Lindsey's shoulder to cry on. Literally. They have also taken lots of vacations together, including Las Vegas, a cruise to the Bahamas, Atlantic City NJ, and Myrtle Beach for Crissy's bachelorette week! Crissy likes horses, Coheed and Cambria, and Harry Potter. And she's a great momma to the flower girl!
Best Man
Dave and Ian met at Blair Middle School in 6th grade home economics class. Both of them enjoyed beating the class at 3D mini golf and creating elaborate Sim Towns more so than learning home skills. The two have been by each other's sides for countless events and memories from hanging out in the Mariani garage to learning all the best places to bar hop in Ghent. Dave works full time as an Engineer project manager and enjoys spending his free time drinking coffee with his pet chameleon, Grim.
Bridesmaid
Courtney and Lindsey met in kindergarten and became friends because they had the same shoes. Courtney has brought a lot of hilarity and fun to Lindsey's life, like showing up at her job at Weis Markets unexpectedly to get Sonic ice cream, driving around in her neon (Little Porkchop, we will always remember you) blasting Ludacris, making music videos (of note, Womanizer by Britney Spears), and spending hours on chatroulette in a snowstorm. Courtney loves her stepson Ben and her dog Jasper.
Groomsman
John and Ian share a common bond for their love of the outdoors and actually met while in the Boy Scouts. They have many shared interests and spent a lot of time discussing film, medicine, music, sports, and world problems over the years. John is an RN and works for a hospice service in Richmond, Virginia.
Groomsman
Abe and Ian met playing lacrosse at Old Dominion and became close by playing the sport and helping grow the game. Their friendship grew despite both of them moving to different sides of the country but still managed to meet up in Las Vegas to move Ian back to Virginia. Abe and his wife Rachel were married in September and Ian was lucky enough to be a groomsman in their wedding.
Bridesmaid
Kirsten and Lindsey also met in 8th grade homeroom. Their friendship blossomed with each and every post-it-note they passed one another, as well as melting a pencil in one of their science labs. Lindsey had the pleasure of being in Kirsten's wedding party and now the roles have reversed! Kirsten and Lindsey have unstoppable and incomparable dance moves when they are together, and people have often told them that they look like sisters. Kirsten loves Penn State, hockey, and country music.
Groomsman
Josh met Ian through best man Dave back in the early 2000's. However their relationship started off in turmoil when Ian spilled a bowl of hot Pho in Josh's lap and Josh banned Ian from the restaurant. The two have always loved playing video games and magic together since they became friends. Josh works as an Engineer with Dave, together creating beautiful works of high end furniture.
Junior Bridesmaid
Zarina is Lindsey's cousin who originally wanted to be Lindsey's flower girl, but as time went on and Lindsey STILL didn't have a man, this dream could not be realized. Nonetheless, she is very excited to assume her role as junior bridesmaid. Zarina likes Starbucks and Pretty Little Liars, and she is an expert dancer.
Groomsman
Despite being the older brother of Dave, Mike and Ian found common ground after he outgrew his "rebellious phase." Mike and Ian have always enjoyed bike riding together and discussing all the local beers available throughout Norfolk. Mike currently is helping his father, Rick build his own brewery, with the help of his amazing bulldog Duchess.
Mother of the Bride
Jolene is a Registered Nurse, whose selfless and nurturing nature extends to everyone she loves. She is an avid tea drinker, bookworm, and will likely have crafted every decoration you see at the wedding.
Mother of the Groom
Anna was a career middle and high school Spanish teacher who now spends time taking care of her mother out in sunny California. She enjoys yoga, walking, hiking, and befriending all the local dogs in Morro Bay.
Father of the Bride
Scott is a mail carrier and a mechanic who also owns his own golf cart business. He is witty and can fix anything broken you put in front of him. Look for the guy at the wedding who is taller than everyone else and resembles Toby Keith and you'll find him.
Father of the Groom
John is a career Oceanographer at Old Dominion as well as an educator teaching college Chemistry. In his free time he volunteers various leadership positions within the Boy Scouts passing along leadership skills and the Scouting way to the upcoming generations. If you're looking for him at the reception just listen for the heartiest laugh in the room and he will be close by.
Flower Child(ren)
Poppy is Crissy's daughter. She will be almost 14 months old at the time of the wedding, so her cousin Layne Hoover will be pulling her in a wagon so she can do her job successfully.
Ring Bearer
Jace is Poppy's cousin and Layne's younger brother. He is full of energy and will charm your pants off as he walks down the aisle!
