The Wedding Website of Tom Holmes and Tanya Saleh
On this page we will include examples of places to stay. (Please bear with us whilst we get it populated. The new venue is not far from the old venue. Sandy Cove is located in Ilfracombe; a very small seaside town. We recommend booking a bed and breakfast or hotel/ Airbnb as soon as you can to be as close as possible. We will also include a local taxi company so that you can pre arrange pick up at the end of the night. Barnstaple is a larger town with additional options to stay (a couple of examples are also included). The venue itself is completely private - with a small hotel. We do want everyone to have a fun night - so please check out the local taxi option!

Flight

Airport options

A lot of you are flying in, which is super exciting! London Heathrow and Gatwick are the 2 largest airports with a variety of international flights. However it is then a long drive (4 -4.5 hours with no traffic, more if you land at rush hour), so please plan accordingly. Bristol is a city with an airport 2 hours drive away but less options in terms of destinations to fly in from

Train

Public transport

Honestly - From London, this option will take you anywhere from 5-13 hours depending on when you try to leave! You have to take a train from Paddington (probably one from Waterloo aswell), to Exeter - about 2.75 hours At Exeter change trains and get a direct to Barnstaple. If you take a taxi at that point it isn’t too bad. Otherwise it’s a bus / Uber / taxi (drive time without stops is 25 mins).

Travel Note

Taxi options

There are a couple of local taxi companies - please call and book your taxi ahead of time! There are no Uber’s or Lyft’s. Travel Note

For our American friends

We have been spending some time at home giggling about the prospect of you renting cars, and driving on the very narrow windy rural streets .... on the other side of the road. Renting a car is really the easiest way. Please be careful - but please also take videos so we can laugh at what actually goes down.

For all the days along the way
