We're Getting Married!!

It all began in Beltsville, Maryland, when Caroline arrived for an interview at the special education school where Brian was working. Before we truly knew each other, the stars had already aligned. And in true “us” fashion, they aligned in a delightfully quirky way—because Caroline’s interview somehow resulted in Brian dislocating his knee. A memorable beginning, to say the least (and a story best saved for another time). As coworkers, we quickly became best friends. We joked endlessly, laughed through wild workday stories, and trusted each other with the most delicate parts of our lives. Even when we weren’t looking for anything more than friendship, fate had other plans. We bonded over shared values, a deep belief in putting others first, and the freedom to be quirky, dorky, and unapologetically ourselves. Somewhere along the way—between music we loved and laughter that came easily—we fell in love. Needless to say, we found our person. The one to share movie marathons with, or to watch Gordon Ramsay yell at chefs for not knowing how to cook salmon. The one to care for through lots of sickness, and to stand beside through whatever challenges life throws our way. We found the person we can be completely free around—someone to geek out with over magic, dragons, and all things fantasy. With each other, we found something truly special: a love that is effortless, honest, and marvelous.
