On December 31st, 2016 Sarah flew down to Charlotte to spend a fun filled New Year’s Eve with her best friend Laura. The pair got dolled up put on their sparkly new dresses and made plans to have dinner with Laura’s brother, Ian, his now fiancé Amber and their good friend Donald. After assuring Sarah that Donald would not be her “type”, Sarah was surprised when she walked into the restaraunt and immediately thought “oh my god, he is CUTE!” The two chatted all through dinner and the first half of the New Year’s Eve party then danced the night away until the ball dropped. A kiss at midnight sealed the deal and began their long distance relationship!

"Are we doing two year anniversary gifts?" Donald asked on New Years Eve, just hours before a dozen people were coming over to celebrate. "Nah, its not an important anniversary," Sarah replied. Little did she know he already had something special up his sleeve. At about 9 pm that night Donald gathers everyone around the TV to play Sarah a special two year anniversary video filled with dozens of pictures from their relationship. The video ends and while Sarah thought maybe something was about to happen, nothing did. Donald asked if everyone wanted to play some board games. So Sarah turns around to grab a game when all of a sudden Donald's voice comes back on the video- it wasn't over!! "Hey hey hey, this video isn't over yet! Conway has something he wants to say.." And just then, their dog's picture appears on the TV of him holding a sign that reads "Will you marry my daddy?" Donald gets down on one knee with the most beautiful ring Sarah has only dreamed of on Pinterest!
