Bridesmaid
Maddie's Maid of Patience. Brenna is married to Maddie's brother and is the perfect sister in law. She's thoughtful, kind, and oh so extremely patient. Sophie the flower girl is Brenna's daughter.
Brianna
Bridesmaid
Maddie's Maid of Confidence. Bri is married to Brock's brother and quickly became Maddie's best friend. She's welcoming, supportive, and exudes confidence in her parenting and relationship. Anna and Walker, the flower girl and ring bearer, are her children.
Caroline
Bridesmaid
Maddie's Maid of Faith. Caroline and Maddie have been best friends since high school. She's generous, kind, and shows faith in her relationships and with God. Caroline has always been a guiding light.
Molly
Bridesmaid
Maddie's Maid of Brightness. Molly and Maddie worked together at Mountain View for a few years before both leaving in the 24/25 school year. Without Molly, a lot of Maddie's dark days could have ended a whole lot darker. She is funny, kind, and as optimistic as can be.
Brody
Best Man
Brock's Best Man, and younger brother. Brody is Brock's best friend (other than Maddie). He is extremely kind, smart, and loyal. He is the husband of Brianna (Maid of Confidence) and father of Anna and Walker (Flower Girl and Ring Bearer). We have never let the fact of my being older get in the way of Brody being the wise older brother.
Blake
Groomsman
Blake and Brock met when Brock started working with him last year. From the jump, they knew that they had found a kindred spirit amongst the banalities of a 9 to 5. Never letting work get in the way of good conversation, Brock and Blake will often spend (too much) time discussing religion, philosophy, and the search for the world's best sparkling water.
Devin
Groomsman
Devin and Brock have been friends for nearly 20 years. Devin is a member of Viking Mountain Brass, a semi-professional brass quintet, along with Brock and a couple of the other groomsmen. Devin is the life of the party and always has time to help cheer someone up. Brock is thankful for his long-time friendship.
Kelly
Groomsman
Kelly and Brock met in 2023 while starting Viking Mountain Brass, and have been thick as thieves since day one. They share a similar love of folk music, Dungeons and Dragons, and Appalachian life. Kelly is one of the kindest individuals you will ever meet, and is always there to lend an ear when Brock needs it.
Max
Officiant
The officiant. Max is Maddie's older brother, and before Brock he was her favorite person in the world. Max is a professor at Vanderbilt and has studied communications for most of his academic career. Max is well spoken, brilliant, and hilarious. We are lucky for him to be marrying us.
Anna
Flower Girl
Anna will be 6, almost 7, at the time of the wedding. When Brock and Maddie met, Brock told her that Maddie would never be his favorite person because he knew Anna first. Anna once claimed that Maddie's full name was "Maddie My Best Friend". Anna is clever, kind, and extremely funny. Brody and Bri are her parents.
Sophie
Flower Girl
Sophie will be less than two weeks shy of three years old at the time of the wedding. Soapie or Softie (as we like to call her) is strong willed, funny, and so very smart. She was born just weeks before Maddie and Brock met, so she has never been sentient in a world with just Aunt Mae. Maddie swears she learned Brock's name first. Max and Brenna are her parents.
Walker
Ring Bearer
At the time of the wedding, Walker will be four years old. He's funny, brave, and wild - as all four year old boys should be. Walker likely doesn't remember a time with only Uncle. He was the first of the extended Joneses to warm up to Maddie at only 18 months. We love him so very much. Brody and Bri are his parents.
Scott
Usher
Scott and Brock met when forming Viking Mountain Brass. One of Brock's closest friends, Scott has long been a source of sage advice. Through 20 years of experience with the Navy, Scott embodies selflessness and giving oneself to their community, having helped with a lot of the relief efforts during Hurricane Helene. Brock is thankful for a friend that he can continue to learn from.
