Andrew and Alissa first met on Easter Sunday in 2018 after attending church service. Both considered it to be “love at first sight”, but convinced themselves it was too good to be true. Later that year, Andrew saw Alissa again at the Christmas Eve service and decided he wanted to get to know her. They struck up a conversation, and Andrew suggested they grab lunch at Kona Grill. To his surprise, Alissa countered with “Let’s do Cheba Hut!”—a favorite of his too. It was an unexpected twist that made him smile. Their first date was on February 10, 2019, at Cheba Hut, where they talked for hours and got to know each other. That same day, Andrew knew he wanted to see Alissa again—and soon. Alissa’s birthday was in a few days, so he thought it was the perfect occasion to take her out formally. Andrew took her to Downtown Gilbert where they enjoyed dinner, dessert, and their first kiss. Over the next five years, their love grew stronger—filled with laughter, memories, movie dates, dance competitions, and countless dinners at Macayo’s. Through every season of life, they remained each other's favorite person. Then, during a beautiful sunset on December 22, 2024, at Different Pointe of View near North Mountain in Phoenix, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Alissa to marry him. Now they are happily engaged and look forward to becoming husband and wife. On May 9, 2026, they will be getting married at The Wright House in Mesa, surrounded by the people they love most.
