How We Met:

A modern margarita-inspired love story

Little did Phillip know, this was the last day that I was going to swipe right on Bumble. I liked that he enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, and of course, fishing. Phillip saw a photo of me floating in the ocean with a drink in my hand and thought I look like a fun time! I quickly tried to schedule a meet-up because nobody had time for dating games after the lockdown, so we went to Superica for our first date. Over Mexican food, we found our common interests in the importance of a good Spotify playlist and a quality skinny margarita. The night went well, so we agreed to hang out again. The second date was also at a Mexican restaurant...Absolutely no surprise there. I think we genuinely agreed to keep dating because we were both on a mission to find the perfect skinny margarita (and the perfect significant other, too). Our first weekend away together was to show Phillip my favorite place, Lake Burton. Come to find out, Phillip’s grandfather used to live nearby and he would take him fishing on the Tallulah river just up the road. What a better place for us to get married than one that holds so many happy memories for us both. Our joint love of good music, good drinks, and the good ‘ole North Georgia Mountains will only allow us to continue to make more happy memories together. We're so excited to celebrate our next chapter with good music and good drinks in the good 'ole North Georgia Mountains with you!
