Father of the Bride
Doreen's brother-in-law, Mike, has the honor to walk her down the aisle and give her away. Sadly, her father, Richard Ivan Valdes, has passed on, but we know that he is watching from above.
Maid of Honor
There were only 7 short years between the time my Auntie Doreen was born and when I was born, making us more like sisters than aunt and niece. We did our fair share of torturing each other through our younger years and then through my teen years we were joined at the hip. I am honored to be her maid of honor and I am so happy that she has found the love to last a lifetime!
Best Man
My brother has always been someone that I've looked up to, both literally and figuratively! A 9yr age difference is a large gap, but I have always grown up with him leading the way. Jim has been great at showing me how to see the world as it is coming up ahead. He may not have always known it, but his approach to life his made a profound and lasting impact on me. Over these years of growing up together, he maintained a steady hand while at the helm of turbulent seas. He always makes sure to include me in family events. I am eternally grateful, he has my deepest respect. I wish him and Dori, all the happiness in the world.
Bridesmaid
Doreen and I have known each other over 30 years! She was so friendly and outgoing and I was shy and quiet. I remember the day we became friends. She came up to me and said let's be friends. Doreen is a friend that is loyal, and gives herself unconditional. I remember we would hang out at her house, listen to Madonna, and confide in each other. Secretly, I hoped her brother would offer us beer! WE have been through a lot together, good times and not so good times. We share many memories, getting each other out of trouble and just simply listening. love you Doreen, you are one of my best friends, my sister, and my confidant. I don’t know anyone more deserving than you to have undying love and happiness. My heart is full knowing you have found that unconditional love. Congrats to you both!
Bridesmaid
I am happy that my Dad found love again and I am glad that it's Doreen that he loves. I love you Dad! Congrats Dad and Dory!
Junior Bridesmaid
Ever since I was a wee lad, I've always seen Auntie as my other mother. No, not like the "other mother" from the movie 'Coraline'. She makes me feel better when I am REALLY down, takes me out to get food, watch movies, have girl talk, and more. When she used to watch my sister and me, I saw how lonely she was and it made me sad to see my 2nd mom hurting, staying up late at night on the phone with her friends or by herself crying. But then she introduced me to Uncle Jams (what my sister and I call James) and I saw the way she looked at him and he looked at her back, that's when I knew they were meant to be together. I considered Uncle Jams my Uncle before he proposed to Auntie because I had a gut feeling that it was going to happen sooner than later. I wish you two the best life <3
Junior Bridesmaid
Flower Girl
Addie, from the time she could talk, has called Auntie Doreen her second mama! That included many diaper changes, lots of kissing of bumps and bruises, and having Auntie sing her to sleep. Addie loves her Auntie "Doneen"!
Groomsman
Jim and I have been friends for our entire lives. We are the same age and went to the same elementary school, through sixth grade. When it came time to attend junior high, because of the locations of our homes and the schools, we had the choice of two junior high schools. Most of our friends went to one school, while Jim, myself, Russell and a small number of our classmates chose Parks Jr. High, the farther of the two options. We went to the same high school. Got into the same problems. Listened to the same bands. Enjoyed the same memories. We've known each other our entire lives and I'm sure we'll continue our friendship for the rest of our lives. I wish Jim and Doreen a long, wonderful and happy life together.

I have known Jim since we were very young. I have also worked with him for the last 17 years. We have been through a lot over the years, and will always be great friends. I wish Dory and Jim the very best, and hope they have many happy years ahead of them. Sincerely, Sean Prewitt
