Dory and Brian met at the age of 14 and 16 at Belmont High School. They spent their high school and college years being close friends, until their friendship took a romantic turn. When Brian returned home for the summer after graduating college, he asked Dory, who was living and going to school in Boston at the time, to go to the movies.
