Let's Get Married!

Rachel and Ben met on July 4 2023 at a 5K race in Colerain, OH. Sarah, one of Rachel’s bridesmaids, introduced them. They remet again on Thanksgiving 2023 at the Western Southern Thanksgiving Day Race. From there, Rachel’s coworker played matchmaker for the two and planted the initial seed. Rachel and Ben went on their first date on January 20th, 2024. They went to the Incline House for dinner, axe throwing at the former Flying Axes in Covington, and UDF for ice cream. Over the next 10 months, the two created so many memories planting a garden at Ben’s house, running for fun and racing, traveling (Florida x2, Chicago x2, Sandusky x4) and more! On November 15th 2024, Ben finally popped the question. The two had lunch, went axe throwing in West Chester, prayed at the Holy Spirit Center, and then went to downtown Cincinnati. Ben got down on one knee and popped the question in front of the Roebling Bridge. Both sets of immediate family were hiding in the bushes to celebrate with the two after!
