In August 2010, Dorothy and Xavaier met at Prairie View A&M University as freshman. Xavaier asked for Dorothy's name, he asked “Like The Wizard of Oz?” It was lighthearted, memorable, and the beginning of a story neither of us fully understood yet. They dated throughout college, growing up together developing their friendship, and love. Eventually, life took them on separate paths, continuing to grow, mature, and learn who God was shaping them to be. Though they were apart, they never truly lost sight of one another. Years later, God orchestrated their reunion in the most unexpected way—at a friend’s wedding in Austin. As they reconnected and caught up, it became clear just how much they had missed each other. The time apart had refined them, and their love returned deeper, stronger, and more intentional than before. What they later realized was that God was quietly aligning their hearts and timing, and in His perfect way and brought them back together. This love story is not just theirs—it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, perfect timing, and the beauty of trusting His plan.
