Emily Joseph

Bridesmaid

The bride's eldest sister, you can thank Emily for many of Dorothy's most ardent fandoms, including space and Harry Potter. One of Dorothy's earliest memories is Emily sneaking her into the yard after bedtime to teach her the constellations. Emily also insisted that Dorothy was too young to read the second Harry Potter book, and so of course, Dorothy snuck it out of Emily's room while she was asleep. Even living on opposite sides of the country, rarely a day goes by without them sharing a recipe, a funny political meme or a real-time reaction to their latest favorite TV show.

Graham Vyse

Groomsman

The groom's best friend from college, they've lived together on an off for the last nine years (including now with Dorothy and Phil). The Joey to their Chandler and Monica. The Ted to their Marshall and Lily. The Chewie to their Han and Leia.

Liza Dyer

Bridesmaid

The middle sister, Liza has known the bride since literally before she was born. Although Dorothy and Liza were not each other's favorite humans as kids, they began to bond while they were in high school together. Since then, they've shared numerous TV marathons, long phone calls, and the discovery that the six-inch difference in their heights translates into Dorothy having a 33% advantage in steps competitions.

Nolan Gear

Groomsman

Having met in elementary school (the groom bit him), Nolan and Phil became the best of friends in high school. They did one year of competitive comedy together, but the world (and Nolan) wasn't ready for this dynamic duo to continue. He's tall, loving, grumpy, and wears sweaters a lot. Think some combo of the Jolly Green Giant and the old man from Up.

Sarah Dunlap

Bridesmaid

Despite sharing the same bus stop since seventh grade, Sarah and Dorothy didn't become best friends until high school, when they initially bonded over a mutual loathing of their English teacher. Since then, they've shared all of life's highs and lows, not to mention mutual obsessions with the Boston Bruins, hedgehogs, and Mr. Darcy's Hat. The Slytherin to Dorothy's Gryffindor, the April Ludgate to Dorothy's Leslie Knope, the Toby to Dorothy's Leo, their friendship is so epic that Taylor Swift allegedly once wrote a song about them.

Rachel Cohen

Groomswoman

Rachel Cohen -- A.K.A. Little Ray Ray -- wasn't expecting to live with the groom. But fate has a way of intervening in things, and since then they've been wonderful friends. They work near each other and sometimes get drinks after work -- but not as often as the groom would like (hint, hint). A touch of Liz Lemon, a dash of Lois Lane, and three extra helpings of Leslie Knope.

Alyssa Franke

Bridesmaid

Dorothy actually met both Alyssa and Phil at the same ice cream social freshman year, though she doesn't remember meeting either. Clearly that didn't matter, as Alyssa became Dorothy's roommate of seven years, her Twitter tutor, and her beloved wifey. Think Ainsley Hayes as a Democrat crossed with the Great British Bake-off (not the people - the entire show). She would like to talk to you about taking a selfie with Elizabeth Warren.

Zach Cohen

Groomsman

Zach met the groom as a reporter for their college paper, where he spent time seriously reporting on student government kids who already took themselves way too seriously. Phil and Graham tricked Zach into living with them, and thus a friendship blossomed. Think Clark Kent, but his super power is professional reporting instead of, well, super powers.

Sarah Solomon

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Dorothy bonded while rolling their eyes at a coworker's general incompetence. Besides being judgmental, they quickly discovered that they also shared a love of makeup, dogs, and being too organized for their own good. Dorothy and Sarah go to Maryland's renaissance festival together every year. Sometimes they let Nick, her husband, and Phil come too.

Patrick Rowland

Groomsman

The groom's high school speech and debate partner, who used to prefer sitting by the pool in a black suit than spending a moment not looking his best. Today, he's a wonderful father and determined political operative, and he'll tell you which one he's more proud of as soon as the polling numbers come in. He's a combo of Josh Lyman from the West Wing, Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince, and Tan from Queer Eye.

Kat Menefee

Bridesmaid

The bride's law school bestie, they bonded the first day of orientation when Dorothy said something snarky and Kat laughed. Since then, they've shared outlines, late nights, and a love of trashy movies. Also a close friend of the groom's, Kat has still not forgiven Phil for once referring to her as "Dorothy's friend" which is why she's #TeamBride. An aspiring old lady and an introverted T-Rex.
