Niagara Falls is just a 45–60 minute drive north and makes for an easy day trip if you’d like to see one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Tip: We recommend going to the Canada side if you have a passport!
Chestnut Ridge Park
Chestnut Ridge Park is a beautiful nature preserve with wooded trails, scenic overlooks, and quiet places to wander. Its most famous feature is Eternal Flame Falls — a small waterfall with a natural flame burning behind it, tucked into the rock grotto. The hike to the falls is short and manageable, making it a great option for a relaxed morning or afternoon outing. It’s a little adventurous, a little magical, and well worth the visit if you enjoy nature and something a bit unexpected.
Graycliff Estate
For a touch of history and architecture by the water, Graycliff is a beautiful stop. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, this lakeside estate overlooks Lake Erie and offers guided tours that showcase its light-filled rooms, clean lines, and thoughtful design. Even if you’re not an architecture buff, the setting alone is worth the visit — peaceful, elegant, and right on the water. It’s a lovely option for a relaxed morning or afternoon, especially if you enjoy historic homes, scenic views, and a slower pace.
Hamburg Brewing Company
A great local spot for casual drinks and an easy meal. Hamburg Brewing Company is a laid-back brewery with a large outdoor patio, live music on select days, and views of Lake Erie. They offer a wide selection of craft beers, along with classic pub fare that’s perfect for a low-key lunch or dinner. It’s an easy place to stop with friends, enjoy the sunshine, and ease into the weekend.
Hamburg Village
If you have a little time to wander, our hometown is well worth a visit. Hamburg’s historic village is small, charming, and easy to explore on foot, with beautiful old homes, local shops, coffee spots, and cozy places to grab a bite. It’s the kind of place where you can stroll without a plan, pop into a few stores, and settle in for lunch or a drink when something catches your eye.
