Doreen was the guardian angel I never knew I needed. She became my foster mother when I was eight. I spent my entire life with her from that moment. One day in 2012 after much discussion she adopted me and officially made me her son. I have learned so much from her wisdom, her determination, and her love. My life would not be what it is today without the guidance of my mother. I have her to thank for the man I am today!

Mary Coco Villavicencio loves her sons and will do anything for us. As a single mom she has immigrated over 1,000 miles from Nicaragua to Florida, learned a second language, worked every kind of job and up to 3 jobs at a time, earned a Master’s degree, attended my band concerts and Alex’s basketball games, cleaned up our messes, and still made time to cook - all to ensure that we could have the opportunity to live our best lives. There’s one thing I know for sure about my mom: she will always be there for me.
