It all started with Kevin commenting on one of my Tiktok videos at the end of July 2021. After some TT messages, we started talking on the phone trying to get to know one another. Since there was some distance between the both of us at the time with Kevin living in Northern Wisconsin and Heather in Northwestern Missouri, we thought the best place for a first meet/first date on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 would be in Mason City, Iowa (about a 5 hr drive for us both) at a public park where we walked around, talked, and sat on the tailgate of one of our trucks. It shortly became the town we would then meet each other at every other Friday Night and spend the weekends there together exploring and getting to know one another. So after a few trips meeting half way, we decided it was time that we alternate making the full 10 hour trek to Wisconsin for Heather and the 10 hr trek to Missouri for Kevin. First trip was Labor Day weekend in September 2021 for Heather to WI. First trip was end of September 2021 for Kevin to MO (week of my birthday). In October 2021, we decided to do a Nashville, TN trip together. In November 2021, Heather met Kevin’s family for Thanksgiving break.

Kevin moved from Marengo, WI to Belton, MO and got a job as an Electrician for Pure Light Electric LLC. Kevin met Heather’s parents in May 2022 as they came to visit for the Memorial Day holiday weekend from Arizona.

After traveling through Tennessee a couple of trips we fell in love with how beautiful the state was and how nice people are. We started planning and figuring out what areas we liked and near potential job opportunities for Kevin. Kevin found a great job with American GreenFuels in Rockwood, TN. as a Maintenance Manager then move onto Interum Plant Manager prior to the planet closing in 2024. We first rented a house in the over 55 area of Fairfield Glade just off of the golf course. Then we rented a small rental home “the cozy house” in Crossville while we were looking for property to call our own. In April we found what we were looking for with 360 degree Mountain View’s. On July 7th, 2024 we closed on our beautiful 6.5 acre property in Pikeville, TN just south of Crossville off of Highway 127. We started to get to work with building our 40x60 shop in September/October 2024. Moved to our shop officially in November 2024.

Kevin and Heather went to Fall Creek Falls State Park in Pikeville, TN to explore and hiked down to see the big waterfall on April 7th, 2024. Kevin took his phone and leaned it up against a rock to video the whole proposal. He then came over to me said let’s take a picture together then he got down on one knee and asked, “will you marry me?” I bet you can guess what Heather said…lol as here we are planning a wedding ceremony and reception to celebrate with our Family and Friends most important to us.

Kevin and Heather went to the Bledsoe County Courthouse in downtown Pikeville, TN. with an authorized officiant, Miss Ruth Burton and said our vows to each other and were officially pronounced married legally in the state of Tennessee last year on Friday, October 10, 2025. We had planned a small ceremony just the two of us after receiving the news we were pregnant in March. Unfortunately we experienced a miscarriage in June and wanted to still continue with our plan. After the small ceremony, we then decided to get in the truck and head south to one of our favorite radial tire race events called No Mercy in Valdosta, GA. at South Georgia Motorsports Park for the rest of the weekend and watch some fast “flying” cars go down the drag strip. Next comes to party in 2026!

We are basically renewing our vows in front of our family and friends with a ceremony and reception to follow at Oaklawn Farms. We hope you can make it!
