FAQs

The Wedding Website of Shaelyn Wisniewski and Doran Richard
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for everyone to dress their best. Semi-Formal or Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or dark jackets and slacks, etc. No white please!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You are absolutely welcome to bring a date if your invitation has specified a plus one, as seating in our venues is limited.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

If your children are listed on the invitation, you are more than welcome to bring them (or make it a little date night)! However, please be aware that we will be serving alcoholic beverages and childcare will not be provided. We only ask that you keep them secure during important moments such as the ceremony or first dance to prevent them from getting hurt or causing a disruption.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking all phones and other devices be put away and on silent/turned off during our ceremony so that all guests can be 100% present with us during this time. After the ceremony, during cocktail hour/the reception, taking photos (and sharing them with us) is encouraged! We promise to share our professional ceremony photos with you as soon as possible.

Question

Where should I stay for the weekend of the wedding?

Answer

First, thank you so much for traveling to celebrate with us! Please visit our "where to stay" tab to see hotels in the area. We will be getting a hotel block at a hotel close to the reception venue.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, Doran and I, our immediate family and our bridal party will be taking photos. Guests can enjoy snacks and beverages beginning at 5:00pm at the Bay City Country Club. The bride/groom and bridal party will arrive at the reception at 6:00pm.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will be having an open bar. If you plan to drink, please have a designated driver and drink responsibly.

Question

Dance Floor Rules

Answer

1. The dance floor should be occupied at ALL times! 2. All styles and talents are welcome

Question

What happens if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we don't get an RSVP back by the deadline, it will be marked as a "no." We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVPs due to this.
