Love arrives when you least expect it…Dora had come to Juarez to visit her grandmother and mom’s side of the family. From all the excitement of once again being around extended family from California, Pablo who is Dora’s cousin planned a night out for some fun. Alan who lived in Juarez, would go to a Christmas Party on the 30th of December, 2017 and be invited to go out later that evening by Pablo (Dora’s Cousin AKA CUPID). Dora was excited and got ready for a night out, which she thought would be around family. Alan was unsure about going out…at this point he had no idea he would meet the love of his life that night…ultimately he decided to go for a while, as he was destined to go and meet Dora. Alan first laid eyes on Dora when she approached the table and felt that he had to talk her. Dora spent her time dancing and having a great time until someone suggested the group go down to another club. Everyone agreed and squeezed into an elevator. Alan became nervous as he was finally close to Dora. As Dora walked towards the second club, Alan made his first move and said, “I really love your coat…” Dora turned around and replied, “Thank you.” Alan thought to himself..‘Que pendejo..’ but he decided he would try again and not give up. Once they were inside and the drinks were flowing Alan used his liquid courage and asked Dora about herself with his big LOVE EYES. After this night..many things happened, and Dora wondered if a long distance relationship was something that could work but Alan always promised to do everything to see each other as much as possible. He promised he would visit very soon..and he did! Dora and Alan began a long distance relationship that lasted nearly four years. The couple became engaged on November 27, 2020. Alan came to California in late 2021 and the couple decided they could no longer be apart. Dora and Alan were married in Santa Ana, California on April 1st, 2022. Although this was a big step, the wedding was small and not the religious ceremony they have dreamed of one day having. Which leads Alan and Dora to their most special and significant step they will take together on June 27, 2025 to be married under the eyes of God. Their story is one of deep love, commitment and adoration for each other and their hope is to continue growing in love together always..siempre juntos.
