We met on New Year’s Eve heading into 2022 at a local bar, where a chance connection quickly turned into something special. Our first date was to the movies and as we kept getting to know each other, we officially began dating on May 26, 2022. Soon after, we learned our relationship would grow through weeks and months of long distance while Joey was deployed, training, or away on work trips — ironic, since Hannah always said she had no interest dating someone in the military. On September 26, 2025, Joey sneakily planned a proposal disguised as a girls’ night with Hannah’s mom and sister, which turned into a beautiful surprise shared with her whole family. Through distance, laughter, and love, our story continues to grow, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together.
