Question

What is Cocktail Attire?

Answer

Women: Consider wearing a cocktail dress. Think dressed-up, but not black tie formal. You may also want to bring a light sweater or shawl. We will be inside a heated/cooled space but will have a short walk from the ceremony to the reception hall. Men: Consider wearing slacks and button up shirts. Blazers and ties optional for guests. Think dressed-up, but not black tie formal. Optional: The color scheme of the wedding party will include green (bridesmaids), and navy (groomsmen) if you would like to match that theme.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We will have a professional photographer on-site at our wedding. Please refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony portion of the evening. Prior to and after that portion of the day, feel free to take all the photos you want. Be sure to join in on the group photo opps following the ceremony, and find the Doolittle Duo during the reception for a special photo before you leave!

Can I bring my children, a friend, or plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your Invite/Save the Date. The names of those we have saved a seat to celebrate our special day have been included on the RSVP page of this website. Please let us know which of your invited party will be joining us by completing the RSVP online. Connect with the bride/groom with any questions regarding guest attendance, invites, or changes.

Do I need to stay in the Charlotte-area overnight?

Answer

If you are joining us for our special day and live outside of the Charlotte-area, you are welcome to stay and enjoy all that the city has to offer, or make a day trip out of it instead. If you do decide to stay, visit the THINGS TO DO page on our website for some ideas to keep you busy!

I have a food allergy or am vegetarian. Is there a dinner option for me?

Answer

Please take the time to note any food allergies when completing your RSVP. We will be sure you are served a meal you can enjoy as we celebrate the happy couple and will do our best to accommodate your food preferences & allergies.

What kind of music will be played in the reception hall?

Answer

We will feature a variety of music during our ceremony and hope to include a little something for everyone. Please include your favorite songs when completing your RSVP so we can add them to the list! See you on the dance floor!

Do I need to bring a gift? Where are you registered?

Answer

We will have a place for gifts in the reception hall should you choose to bring one the day of the wedding. Our address is also included in both registries and on your mailed Save-The-Dates if you prefer to mail a gift beforehand. Please visit the REGISTRY page of our website which includes all of our registries and funds.

I want to contribute to a cash fund but I do not have VENMO. What do I do?

Answer

We have chosen to have all cash funds on our registry routed through VENMO in order to avoid processing fees for you and the happy couple. If you would like to contribute to those fund but do not have VENMO, please consider adding that gift in a card and mailing to the happy couple or bring along on the day of and leave it on the gift table in the reception space. We appreciate you!

Should I arrive early to the ceremony?

Answer

All guests are encouraged to arrive to the venue 15 minutes before the ceremony begins on order to find a seat and settle in before we start.

Is there a gap between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

We plan on taking group photos with all attendees in between the ceremony and reception. Groups will be released to the reception after those photos where we will have passed appetizers and entertainment before we all sit down to enjoy dinner together. Individual photos with the Doolittle Duo and guests will be taken during the reception- find us and let's snap a pic!

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Answer

Please complete the RSVP to see which events you have been invited to attend for our wedding (rehearsal, ceremony, reception, etc.). We will not be hosting any large group events, vacations, or planned outings outside of those listed in your RSVP.

Can I share or post photos from your wedding?

Answer

Please share photos with whomever you like from the wedding and feel free to post on social media. Be sure to include us on your posts and send any photos you'd like us to have!

Question

Are weapons permitted on-site?

Answer

Weapons are not permitted on-site. This is a day of love and celebration. Please leave your guns, knives, and pepper spray at home, but be sure to bring your dancing shoes!
