Please RSVP by July 1st at the latest, but earlier would be prefered.
There is no ceremony, only a reception. The party is the best part! Please arrive at 5 PM for drinks, filling out the guest book, riding on the carousel ( EDIT: the carousel is out of order :( ), and mingling before the meal. If you would like to walk around the zoo before the party starts, feel free to arrive before 5 PM to do so. If you need a breather during the reception, you are welcome to wander the grounds at any time.
Yes! The zoo will close at 6PM, so some animals may be put away at that time (otters, camels, red pandas, and takin) but the carousel will be free to ride all night long (EDIT: We are sad to say this, but the carousel is out of order, and will not be fixed in time for the reception D: )! If you want to explore the zoo, we suggest arriving a half hour or more before 5 PM to give you and the kids plenty of time to walk around and see the exhibits before the party starts!
Yes, as long as they are stated on the RSVP so we can ensure they have a place to sit and food to eat :)
Nope! Be as fancy or as casual as you'd like. Animal print is encouraged. We are at a zoo, after all ;) Wear what makes you feel good!
We have a hotel block for the AmericInn across the street from the Red River Zoo. There is a great kid-friendly pool there, so be sure to pack your swimsuits! Otherwise, there are multiple hotels within a mile radius of the zoo, so there should be something that will suit your fancy!
The recommended hotel is a 3-minute walk from the reception location.
There is free parking at the reception. If you are traveling, there is also free parking for those staying at the AmericInn across the street.
There will be a cash bar at the reception! We also will have Namaste Chai as a food truck from 5PM - 8PM. They will have a wonderful variety of drinks available for purchase.
We humbly request that everyone who is eligible to have a vaccine be fully vaccinated with a booster. We want to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time! Masks are strongly encouraged. As much as we would love to see everyone's beautiful faces, your well-being and safety comes first <3
