Covid-19 Information

Dear Family and Friends, As our wedding date draws closer, we are constantly monitoring the coronavirus situation and the state's protocols. We are currently hopeful for the situation in May, and are hoping to be able to have the safest and closest version to our dream wedding, as possible. We have moved both our ceremony and reception to a fully outdoor venue in order to host the safest event that we possibly can. At the current date, our venue is operating at a restricted capacity. We will be following as many safety precautions as we can during the event. Due to the recent restriction change, masks will not be required while at the outdoor ceremony. We do ask that you wear them while inside, while not eating or drinking. With that being said, please do what you are most comfortable with! Masks will be provided if you need or feel more comfortable in one. The full list of precautions can be found below. We completely understand that some of our guests may not feel comfortable attending social gatherings during this time. If you plan on attending the ceremony but not the reception, please let us know. If you have any additional questions or requests, please reach out to us at DooleyJacksonRSVP@gmail.com. We will continue to provide any necessary updates on this page. We are so grateful for the continued love and support during these uncertain times. With love, Rebecca and Robert PLEASE NOTE: If you are NOT feeling well (runny nose, loss of taste or smell, cough, fever, chills, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, etc.) OR if you have been around anyone that has tested positive for covid or even around someone that possibly has covid, we ask that you please not attend the ceremony or reception. We promise we will understand and will celebrate with you another time! In this case, please email DooleyJacksonRSVP@gmail.com. The health and safety our friends and family is so important! Thank you!

Covid-19 Precautions

Please know these precautions are in no way meant to persuade you to attend our wedding or make you feel guilty if you choose not to attend. We understand this virus is still a major problem and that many people do not feel comfortable attending events at this time. While we can take as many precautions as possible to make our guests safe, there is no way to 100% completely eliminate the risk of contracting Covid. If you do not feel comfortable attending, we completely understand and would love to celebrate with you when all of this settles down! Please let us know this as soon as possible. We love each and every one of you and want you to feel safe and be able to have a good time! Please find below a list of Covid-19 precautions: -Fully outdoor ceremony and reception location (Reception area is covered. A rain plan is in place, dinner will be served under the tent) -All guests will be provided masks & asked to wear them when not eating or drinking. -All vendors, wait staff, bartending staff, etc. will be wearing masks as well. -Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the facility -Hand sanitizer will be placed on every guest table -Plans for safe social distancing during the ceremony and reception will be in place -Covid compliant disinfecting cleaning before event & high touch areas during the event will take place. -All food will be served by a masked server. Our Story

Robert and I met in 2017 while Robert was living in Virginia Beach, and I was living in Raleigh. Robert had just started a new job and was in the Raleigh area for training. While he was here, we luckily "matched" on a dating app. We talked on the phone almost every day until we ended up meeting in person for the first time about a month and a half later. Robert and I had so much fun together, the first date turned into the next 100. The next 1 1/2 years was spent long distance, with each of us taking trips back and forth on the weekends. We learned to make the long distance relationship work, cherishing the time we had together, which made that time all the more special. Robert moved to Raleigh in December of 2018. After that, as they say, "the rest was history!"

The Proposal

This past Christmas, we went to Erie, PA to spend time with Robert's family for Christmas. I arrived the day after Christmas, so I missed seeing Robert's sister and brother and his fiance, so we made plans to drive up to Rochester, NY to see them after visiting with his parents. It was December 27th, and we were about to leave Erie; Robert and his dad suggested we stop by Niagara Falls since it was on the way. I didn't think much of it, and wanted to stop, because, "how many times was I going to get the chance to see Niagara Falls?" When we arrived at the Falls and I honestly didn't suspect anything, I knew we would be getting engaged at some point, but did not think that he had a ring. After spending a few minutes admiring the Falls, Robert grabbed my hand and got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I couldn't have been happier to say "yes!" The rest of the evening was spent face-timing family and friends. All a part of the plan. we were greeted in Rochester by Robert's family, ready to celebrate. We are so excited for this season of life!
