This place is one of Leila's favorite spots in Austin! Situated in a small cozy spot on West 6th, Clarks offers consistently good seafood. This makes for a great date night for it's limited seating.
Uchi Austin
For a special night out, Uchi is one of our top recommendations. The sushi is on another level, blending local flavors with Japanese tradition. It’s one of the best dining experiences in town if you're in the mood for something upscale.

Take a stroll around South Congress, a popular neighborhood of Austin nearby downtown. Aba is a wonderful Mediterranean spot. Reservations recommended.

Another great upscale Mexican restaurant with larger style tapas, situated in the Arboretum area of Austin.

Want great BBQ without the long wait? Terry Black’s is our go-to when we’re craving mouthwatering brisket and ribs. The sides are incredible too—make sure you try the mac and cheese! It’s a good spot when you're short on time but still want the full Texas BBQ experience.
Round Rock Donuts
If you want to try something truly iconic, you’ve got to stop by Round Rock Donuts. Their giant, Texas-sized donuts are famous for a reason—soft, fluffy, and glazed to perfection. The bright orange hue might catch you off guard, but trust us, they’re delicious. Whether you go for the classic glazed or one of their massive creations, this spot is a must for any donut lover. It’s a short drive from Austin, but totally worth it!
