Sparks fly at 90th Birthday! Our Story: Jenna attended Dominican College with Autumn, Donovan's cousin. Through soccer and shared responsibilities as RAs, they quickly became friends. One evening, Autumn asked Jenna to help decorate and facilitate her grandma's birthday party. Jenna eagerly agreed, hoping to gain experience in event planning and always ready to help a friend. Little did she know, she would meet her soulmate that night. As guests began to arrive at the party, Jenna teased that dating one of Autumn's cousins might be fun. Autumn mentioned her cousin Donovan, the one all her friends swooned over. When Jenna saw him standing at the bar, she knew he was the one Autumn had mentioned. Excited, she rushed to tell Autumn she'd spotted the cute cousin. Unbeknownst to her, Donovan had already noticed her. Moments later, Donovan asked Autumn about Jenna, admiring her competence and attention to detail as she managed the event. Always prepared to share a magic trick, Jenna ran to her car to grab her cards. With a bright red face, she performed her best tricks for Donovan. Impressed by her showmanship and her beautiful blue eyes, Donovan knew he wanted to talk to her more throughout the night. The stories diverge here: Jenna believes she enlisted Donovan to help with the dishes, while Donovan thinks he volunteered. Either way, they found themselves at the sink together, washing all the dishes from the event. After they finished, Donovan asked Jenna out to dinner. Jenna excitedly agreed, and they exchanged numbers. As many of you might guess, the first date was fantastic, and their love has only grown since that moment.

We got engaged on the beach at Family Fun Week! Our Story: For those who don't know, Family Fun Week (FFW) is Jenna's favorite time of the year! This annual reunion trip to Ortley Beach, NJ, features a semi-competitive series of events, games, and challenges, all organized by Jenna and referred to as THE FFWOG (Family Fun Week of Olympic Games). Before this trip, Jenna knew the engagement ring existed, but Donovan had cleverly misled her about when the proposal would happen. In fact, he had to in order to meet Jenna's two requests for the proposal. First, she wanted to be surprised on the day it happened. Second, she wanted a photo or video capturing the event. On the morning of August 4th, 2023, Jenna was focused on making gender reveal Oreos and maintaining the secrecy of the final standings of the FFWOG. She didn't notice Donovan's nervous demeanor. Donovan secretly informed Kayla about his plan to ensure the moment was captured on video. When everyone gathered at the beach for the gender reveal, it was announced that Donovan and Jenna were having a BOY! While posing for a photo right after the reveal, Donovan got down on one knee and asked for Jenna's hand. Shocked and overjoyed, Jenna said YES with tears in her eyes as everything in that moment was perfect.
