Alexis Hunter and Donovan Johnson met April 18, 2021, while working at Sam's Town Casino. During this time Donovan was a slot technician and Alexis was a Casino Host. Often, they would see each other out on the casino floor, when one day Alexis asked Donovan to come take a look at a guest machine. Before she could walk off and while employees stood around, Donovan took a chance he waited for. He told Alexis that she was the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen. The next day came and the two saw each other again, in conversation they got a chance to know each other and seemed as if no one was around. Their words and thoughts meshed and before walking away, Donovan asked Alexis for her number. That night they made conversation through text and daily Donovan did not let a morning go by without letting her know that she was on his mind and hope that she would have a great day. A few weeks passed and he invited her to come to his home. The two laughed and conversed while drinking a glass of wine, and what Alexis thought was a silly gesture actually turned out to be a moment she got a glimpse of real and genuine love. Donovan asked her to dance with him and she rejected. She thought it was silly to dance in the middle of a living room floor. He insisted and she treasures that moment forever. While they danced to "All of Me" by John Legend, they began to look into each other eyes and both can admit now that it was a feeling so indescribable but connected. Both of their hearts were pounding to the beat of the music and from that moment on they were irresistible towards each other. From weeks and months on, the conversations grew longer, and the connection grew stronger. And as many stories say, the rest is history. Looking back at the actual date that they met is the same date but a year later that their handsome son, Elijah Johnson was born.
