Haleakalā Sunrise

Approx. Travel time From Kihei: 1 - 1.5 hours Reservations Required for each Vehicle. Haleakala Summit Sunrise Reservations are available 60 days in advance for a $1.00 reservation fee. Sunrise hours are 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. DRESS WARMLY! It can be in the 40's at sunrise in July.

ʻĪao Valley State Monument

Reservations are required and may be made up to 30 days in advance.

Road to Hana

The Road to Hana is a famous and scenic drive on Maui, Hawaii, known for its stunning natural beauty, including lush rainforests, numerous waterfalls, and beautiful beaches. The ~64-mile Hana Highway features over 600 curves, many one-lane bridges, and requires cautious driving due to its narrow and winding nature. It connects Kahului to the town of Hana, offering numerous stops for hikes, views, and swimming holes, and is best experienced as a full-day trip or even a two-day excursion to allow ample time to explore.

Pipiwai Trail

The Pipiwai Trail is a well-known, 4-mile roundtrip hike on Maui, Hawaii, within Haleakalā National Park's Kipahulu District that leads to the 400-foot Waimoku Falls. Along the moderate-to-challenging trail, hikers pass by the notable Makahiku Falls, a large banyan tree, and a breathtaking bamboo forest. Located on the backside of Maui past Hana, the Pipiwai Trail requires a park entrance fee or National Park Pass for access and typically takes 2–5 hours to complete.
