Question

How will the ceremony and reception work? And where?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place at the Overlook at Coopers Rock, with our reception following at Shelter 1, the pavilion closest by. Since the Overlook is open to the public, you may notice other visitors in the area—they're welcome to stay, though they'll be kindly informed that a ceremony is taking place. Once we've said our vows, we'll all move to Shelter 1 to celebrate together!

What are the times for everything?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 4pm and will last approximately 10-20 minutes. Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds will gather with family for photos at the Overlook. The reception will commence around 6pm and continue until 10pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available. Since Coopers Rock is open to the public and it’s a holiday you may have to park a little farther and walk to the ceremony and reception.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Will there be chairs for the ceremony?

Answer

No, there will be no chairs provided. Since it is at a public venue feel free to stand or BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair)!

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Our ceremony will move to Shelter 1 and it’ll take place in front of the fireplace.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, please feel free to take as many photos as you like throughout our wedding celebration! Don’t forget to send them to us!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you are listed for a guest or guests on your invite then they are welcome to come. If you'd like to request a plus one, please reach out to Zoë directly, and we'll do our best to accommodate you if there is room.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome to attend our wedding celebration even if they were not on the invitation. There is a playground near by, backyard games, and room for them to run around and have fun!

Food and Desserts?

Answer

We will be serving The Backyard BBQ in Cheat Lake. I hope you like meat cause we certainly do! The desserts will be from The Bakery by Tracy in the Seneca Center. All her desserts are gluten free.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Our celebration will be a dry, alcohol-free event. We kindly ask that all guests arrive sober and ready to celebrate with us.

What is the dress code?

Answer

There are two dress codes. 1. Dress to Impress! (Formal/Semi-Formal) The wedding party and family will be dressed up for the event. 2. Comfortably Nice! The event will be taking place outside, with uneven planes, and hiking available for before or after the wedding. With that being said you can dress accordingly to those conditions if you would prefer not to dress up.

Purple, Blue, and Gold. With Red roses and sparkles of course!

Answer

Besides ceremony, pictures, and reception, it’s Independence Day we’re so happy you get to spend it with us!
