FAQs

Question

How do I get to the Chapel?

Answer

If you, or your guests, possess a military ID, you are considered a credentialed individual and you will continue to use these credentials for driving aboard. All passengers in a vehicle must also be prepared to show valid ID. Vehicles and contents are subject to search when being driven aboard. For guests that do not possess these credentials, access will need to be obtained by the following: PEDESTRIAN ACCESS: Pedestrians may enter at Gate 1 or Gate 8 by showing appropriate ID. Military or DoD credentials are not required, nor is pre-clearance. It is helpful for the party to note their destination for the sentry, when showing ID. The sentry may also search any bags (including purses) coming aboard. After Gates 1 and 3 close, there are outbound turnstiles allowing exit at these gates. Gate 8 is always open for pedestrian exit. Question

What time does the Ceremony start?

Answer

Please give yourself ample time to get to the Chapel, especially if you are not taking a bus! Chapel doors will open at 12:30 pm for guests to take their seats. At 1:00 pm, the doors will close, the ceremony will begin, and you will be unable to gain access until it is over. Once the ceremony has ended, all guests will move to the front steps of the chapel to observe the Arch of Swords! If you would like more information on handicap accessibility, please send your questions over to Katie or Donnie!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your families, we would prefer our wedding to be adults only in order for you to be fully present while sharing this day with us! Please contact us if you do plan to bring the rest of your family, so we can accommodate accordingly!

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! We strongly suggest taking the buses provided to you or an Uber. There will be a bus available for pick up at both the Westin Hotel and the Navy Lodge Hotel. Pick up for the ceremony will be at 12:00pm. Pick up for the reception will be at 3:45pm. Both buses will bring guest back to hotels once reception ends at 9:30pm.

Question

COVID

Answer

Masks are required in the chapel, however, you will not need one at the reception venue if you do not wish to wear one! If you are not feeling well, please stay home! We would never want to put anyone's health at risk during these crazy times. Feel free to contact Katie or Donnie if you have any questions or concerns.
