We love and adore your children but this celebration is for adults only. We hope you can enjoy an evening filled with lovely food and entertainment with us!
Rich, deep colors like black, navy, green, burgundy in heavier fabrics. For men, dark suits with dress shirts and ties. For women, typically floor length dresses. Would recommend something seasonally appropriate as well. Coat rack available at the restaurant. No jeans and please no summery/floral dresses. We kindly request that guests avoid wearing gold clothing or full gold outfits, as we’d like to reserve that special color for the couple. However, gold accessories—like jewelry, ties, or shoes—are absolutely welcome and would beautifully complement the celebration!
Each course will be served on platters and will be shareable amongst the table. Don't worry, there will be plenty of choices and lots of food!
Yes! This longstanding, Pittsburgh-based tradition will be featured at our reception. To quote Ferrell, "If we don't have a cookie table, I am sure I'll never hear the end of it." Most of the cookies will be coming from A Sweet Morsel Co, a Pittsburgh bakery known for their traditional cookies. Others will be baked in local Philadelphia bakeries. The Wedding Cookie Table tradition is deeply rooted in the history of Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Eastern Ohio and is linked mainly to European immigrants that settled in industrial areas. It is believed to have been around since the Great Depression and traditionally the bride's family and friends bake the cookies. You can expect some of the cookies you know and love and maybe a few new varieties.
Yes! The Scoops will be playing live music throughout the evening.
Yes, there is plenty of free parking at il Foire. If you’re staying nearby or local, we encourage the use of ride sharing apps like Uber and Lyft. Please drive responsibly.
We put together a map of all of our favorite Main Line places on the Travel & Fun page but Philadelphia is very close by! If you don’t want to drive into the city, you can take SEPTA’s Regional Rail right into Center City, Philadelphia.
When you RSVP, there is a place to indicate your dietary restrictions but don’t hesitate to send us a text with further explanation if needed.
We will be married at the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg on Friday, December 12th in front of our close family and a few friends. Don't worry, you'll get a sneak peek of the photos at the reception!
