WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We took the long route to get here for sure, but we saw no need to rush. It's not like we didn't know how we felt about each other, it's just best not to rush some things. At least that's our belief. But now it's time to make it official. We hope you all will come help us celebrate our big day.

For those of you that don't know, Cassie and I met on NE Alberta in Portland, OR. I lived only a block off of Alberta at the time, one house from the corner of 27th and Wygant. I was hanging out with friends at our favorite local hangout, Binks, while Cassie was having dinner at the restaurant next door, with her friend Rebecca. As they left the restaurant, they stopped and were discussing something while looking around. My friends yelled over for them to join us. To our surprise, they agreed. Cassie ended up sitting next to me. After talking a while, we exchanged numbers, but didn't end up planning anything. After the night ended, we all said good bye and neither of us thought we'd see each other again. The next night was Last Thursday, a legendary night on NE Alberta where street vendors come out and music is played up and down the street. It happens on the last Thursday of each month from April to October — It's basically a giant street party. I got off work and headed straight for Binks to get a table before the street got too busy. I was standing outside Binks, watching everybody set up for the evening, when I saw Cassie walking down the street heading for a destination unknown to me. I texted her, asking her why she was on my street again. She texted back shortly after, and said she was meeting up with friends. I asked her to join me again at Binks later that evening. She ended up doing just that. And from their, it's history.
