Unbeknownst to Donna, Maverick had been admiring her for over four years through her Facebook pictures. In other words, stalking her. Lol He felt a very strong attraction to her & knew it was much more than that. Finally, he had to make his move and decided to confess his attraction to her by sending her an IM on Facebook. He knew she had been in mourning and was not sure she would be ready to date. His message to her was simple and he thought to the point; Donna I'm attracted to you. Well, little did he know, she didn’t really know what to say to that message, and so she did not respond for a while & when she did, it was just “thank you”. Well he was crushed, and thought that meant she wasn't interested. She told her daughter what had happened, who said mom," he likes you" and now he probably thinks your not interested. After checking him out on Facebook, she realized he was the same guy she saw singing a Luther Vandross song the year before at their High School reunion. Because she would never approach a guy first or reach out to one first, and being out of practice for over 18yrs, she did not know how to respond. She decided to contact him professionally, for a gig to sing at her 60th birthday celebration.
