Dear family and friends, What a year is has been. We are nearing the one year mark when we made the difficult decision to postpone our original wedding date. It’s been a bittersweet year, and the one that is upon us is proving to have a touch of deja vu. First, let us say that planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is not recommended. There are uncertainties around every corner. Once you have conquered one obstacle, another one pounces without warning. There is a lot of backpedaling and even more “let’s look on the bright side.” Tumultuous would describe the process, as well as the emotions that go along with it, well.
With that said, we have made the decision to move forward with to our April 23, 2021 date. This may be surprising to some, disappointing to others, or even exciting! But we want you all to know that this decision was not made hastily. We weighed our options, we spoke to our venue, we monitored the COVID numbers and restrictions in our state and we (aka Donna) even shed some tears of loss and frustration. We know many people will make the decision to celebrate with us from afar, and we understand. We love each and every one of our our guests without measure and we want you to feel safe and comfortable. We would never ask that you put your health at risk to be at our wedding. See the FAQs below for details about what to do regarding hotel rooms, as well as what precautions our venue is taking to minimize the risk of the virus. As always, please reach out if you have any questions that are not addressed here. We hope to celebrate with many of you next month! XOXO Donna and Ian
Our venue will require all guests to be masked when not eating or drinking and when moving around the venue to go to the bar or the restroom. The dance floor has been taken out. Dancing will be allowed, just in small groups throughout the reception area. Our venue has also been transformed into an outdoor, pavilion-like space. 3 out of 4 walls have floor-ceiling windows, which will be taken out to allow for more fresh air circulation. Additionally, the cocktail hour space will be tented, outside instead of in the clubhouse pub where originally planned. Weather permitting, the ceremony will also take place outside. Finally, all food will be served by staff who will be masked at all times, food tables and the bar during cocktail hour as well as the reception will be guarded by plexiglass, and the tables will be spaced generously. Hand sanitizer will be located throughout the venue. Our guest's safety is our #1 priority!
You don't have to do anything! Our venue is working tirelessly to make sure that all of the reservations made for our April 2020 wedding will be moved to the April 2021 dates. If you are staying for 2 nights then your entire reservation will be moved to the appropriate dates (April 22 & 23, 2021) If you are unable to attend this new date, you have up until Friday, April 16, 2021 to cancel your reservation free of charge. Just visit the "Travel" tab and call the number listed to reach the hotel to cancel.. or to book!!
