Aki and I met at a concert along time ago back In 2019. It was a Badfish concert. We both love reggae music and we have had the same mutual friends years prior to us actually meeting. That night I was having a great time and I remember hitting on him. My first thought was “Oh he is CUTE!” Such a sweet set of eyes Aki has. Our encounter was brief and At the time I didn’t think I’d ever see him again. A few years pass by and we meet again in 2021, only this time we both were seeing other people. It took me a minute to realize he was the guy from the bad fish concert years ago and then it hit me. I decided that I wanted this guy one way or the other so I settled for making him my friend. We were friends dating other people for a year before I really realized how I felt about him. Soon after he became a free agent again, I said to myself I can’t let this opportunity slip again. I was doubting if I should shoot my shot or not for a few months. What really did it for me was the day he got in a horrible sling shot accident and we all thought we almost lost him. My heart shattered at the thought of it. I took it as a sign to let him know I really wanted to be with him. A few weeks later I told him the truth about how I felt. The end is history! He felt it and he knew it all along. He always saw the signs he felt my energy. We fell fast and hard. I knew this guy was it for me, this was the one I had chosen for me. I had chosen him and he chose me back. We found each other despite the timing we made it back to each other. We were meant to be all along and everything that we went through prepared us for each other. We were friends before we became lovers and we are so grateful to have each other. We can’t wait to add to our story and to our growing family, for the years to come. Til death do us part. -Donna & Aki
