We traveled all the way to Japan to find each other.

There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.

We met in July 2014 in Okinawa Japan. We were both assigned to a small Military Police Detachment and arrived two weeks apart. I offered to give Brandon a ride to the grocery store because he had yet to get his Okinawan driver's license. After getting groceries we decided to go out to explore the city. That day turned into weeks, which turned into months, which turned into years. We've spent every moment of free time we had with one another, and if we could not physically be together, we would be on the phone together. Nothing was forced, everything just aligned. We never actually had a formal conversation regarding our relationship status, it was something that was simply understood. From the moment we met we were one and no one else mattered. In 2016 we decided to marry. We went to City Hall in Okinawa with our marriage application completed, got it notarized, and turned it in. We didn't have a wedding because it didn't feel necessary at the time, we just wanted a life together (and to not get separated by the Army lol). In 2017 we returned to the states and had our first baby girl, Lia. In 2020 we had our second baby girl, Skylar, and we were both out of the military and settled into our new city of Columbia, SC. In 2021 we built and moved into our dream home were we continue to grow and create lasting memories with our little ones. Since 2024 represents 10 years of togetherness, we have decided that it was time to celebrate our love with the ones we love most. If you have received an invitation, it is because we value the part that you have played, or currently play, in our lives. It will be the utmost honor to have you in attendance as we express our love in a formal setting an recommit our lives to one another.
