FAQs

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions. If you have further questions beyond what is listed here, feel free to reach out!
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that guests dress semi-formal. Ladies, please wear light, airy, long dresses. Gentlemen, please wear button-downs or a suit jacket with khakis. Light, summer colors, along with floral patterns, are preferred. When choosing footwear, please note that the ceremony will be outside on a lawn!

Question

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will be held just outside the reception barn on a tree-shaded grass lawn.

Question

What time is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 in the evening on Saturday, July 4th, 2026. Please arrive 30 minutes early, around 4:30, to allow enough time to park, find a seat, grab some water, and sign our guest book.

Question

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Answer

Please see the "Registry" tab above- through our wedding website, our Zola and Amazon registries are linked there. If you would like to access our Amazon registry separately, you may access it at https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/thecanups.

Question

Is there a hotel group reservation for the wedding weekend?

Answer

Yes! For your convenience, a group reservation has been made at the new Fairfield Inn & Suites in Madison, GA. To get a reserved room at a discounted rate, please call (706) 438-4085 before June 1 and use the group code "Hildreth/Canup Wedding" to book.

Question

Can my children attend the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have chosen to have an adults-only reception to allow all guests to relax and enjoy the evening!

Question

Am I able to bring a plus one?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos. We have an amazing photographer and videographer, and we want our guests to truly be in the moment with us throughout our special day!

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Please respect our privacy and do not share photos of our wedding on social media until the couple has posted, as we'd like to make a formal wedding announcement with our professional images!
