When should I buy plane tickets?

Answer

Please buy them as soon as you can as prices go up closer to our wedding date. You must fly into La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. ―

Traveling Requirements?

Answer

For residents or citizens of US, Canada, EU or UK, a visa is not required to travel to Guatemala. However, those traveling with a Venezuelan passport must apply for a visa. This visa can be obtained in Colombia, Panama or Ecuador and will be valid for 6 months. Please contact Guatemalan Embassy for detailed information. ―

Is there a shuttle to and from the Airport?

Answer

Yes, please click our Travel & Stay tab for more information. We recommend you use the Antigua Tours shuttle service to travel from the airport in Guatemala City to Antigua and on your trip back. The trip takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours on weekends and 2-3 hours on working days (please consider the traffic in Guatemala City). ―

Are there any hotels in Antigua?

Hotel recommendations can be found under Travel & Stay tab on our page. There are multiple hotels in Antigua Guatemala for every budget and taste. Online booking platforms also work well in Guatemala. We recommend you reserve a place close to the central park or our wedding venue. ―

We love your children, but due to space restrictions and other factors, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Is the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

No, the ceremony will take place in Iglesia Escuela de Cristo. The reception in Ruinas San José El Viejo, is approximately a half of a mile from the church. There will be a shuttle taking guests from the church to the reception. ―

Money Exchange?

Answer

We recommend to exchange your dollars in Banks in Antigua Guatemala or in the Currency-exchange office at the airport. · ATMs are available in most of the hotels or all over Antigua Guatemala. · Credit cards are accepted in hotels and restaurants. · The Currency may vary by the time of your visit but approximately is: Quetzal (Q) Q8.00 = US$1 Some places accept dollars cash but you may get a better deal by paying in quetzals. ―

What will the weather be like in October?

Guatemala is called the land of the eternal spring, meaning there's good weather most of the year. October is a great month to visit Guatemala, the climate is comfortable and the temperature normally varies between 15°C to 24°C (59°F to 75°F). It cools down in the night, so bring a light jacket. ―

How do I get around Antigua?

Answer

The best way to get to feel Antigua's culture, art and history is by foot. We recommend that you pack comfortable shoes to walk Antigua's cobblestone streets like a local. For non walkable destinations you're good to use Uber or three wheel taxis, also known as “Tuc Tuc”. ―
