We met at a class reunion picnic, Father’s Day weekend. Ken claimed me before we had our first date (Brian Ragsdale, confirmed). My friend, Kita and I were leaving the event held down by the Lakefront in Milwaukee. I was not paying much attention to this guy who was standing in the parking lot with his friend Brian. As Kita and I started exiting the event, he said hello and introduced himself as “KAM." I was pleasant and said hello with a smile. "KAM" started a friendly conversation centered around the bikes after noticing my interest in the parked motorcycles, one of them being his. I remember his big, bright smile when he asked for my name. For some reason I gave him my real name. I usually use the name "Lisa" but this time I didn't, I felt like being honest. Long story short, Kita asked KAM if he was on FB, he confirmed he was. I immediately pulled out my phone, went on FB and sent him a friend request. KAM accepted my FB request that day. Thanks Kita! A few days later, I got out of my comfort zone and reached out to KAM by sending him an IM and confessing how nice it was meeting him and all that good stuff. He gave me his full name, phone number and promised me a ride on his bike. I do not remember who called first, but I do remember our first date. We went to Strawberry Fest in Cedarburg, but we arrived late and didn't get a chance to enjoy the event as planned. However, before leaving, Ken asked if we could stop at Amy's Candy Kitchen for treats. I was so excited because this is one of my favorite places to go for sweets and found out it's one of his favorite places too. Ken and I have been together ever since.
